CHULA VISTA- Club Tijuana once again was part of a community event that helps bring awareness for a great cause.
The Xolo Mayor and Xolo Girls took part in the 4th Annual WeSupportU 5K run and walk Sunday April 15 at the Chula Vista Marina. Hundreds of participants helped raise awareness and helped support an organization dedicated to help people who have been affected by cancer.
WeSupportU’s mission is to revive, renew and restore confidence, empowerment and self-esteem in every individual facing a cancer diagnosis.
The race/walk is one of many ways the non-profit organization raises funds to help those affected by cancer.
The Xolo Mayor and Xolo Girls did their part by preparing the participants with a warm up on stage. They also helped launch the race and were there to greet the participants as they crossed the finish line. The Xolo Girls gave out medals while the Xolo Mayor posed for photos and encouraged the runners to finish strongly. Club Tijuana has been part of this event the last four years.
